I love my god-daughter; she is
a big part of our life. The day she
was born I decided to put my career
on hold, so I could take care of her
during the first three years of her life,
while Aunt and Uncle were working.
I will always cherish that special
time with her.
I have literally made hundreds
of bottles and changed tons of
diapers. I've feed, burped, bathed,
and dressed her; read to her, and
sat on the floor and played games
with her for countless hours. At one
point, she went through a phase
where she loved Barney so much,
I think we must have watched
every episode ever made. She
also had really bad colic for
months; it was so hard to
watch her going through that.
I've taken her to the doctor for
check-ups, shots and colds.When
she was teething I've gone to
the store in the middle of the night
to get her Ambasol. When she was
2 years old, she was diagnosed
with diabetes. At that time, I went through extensive training and
learned how to measure and
administer her insulin and what
to do in case of an emergency
situation.
Although she can't eat the
candy, she loves to get dressed up,so we’ve gone trick-or-treating
on many Halloweens. She's been
everything from a little mousy to
Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
We've gone to the playground,
and for walks in the stroller. I've
tickled her just so I could hear her
sweet little giggles, watched her
take her first steps into my arms,
heard her say her first words. I've
dropped her off at school, brought
books up to her when she's
forgotten them, and picked her
up from the nurses office when
she was sick.
We've taken her to church with
us, driven out of state to pick her up
from camp at the end of the summer.
She’s slept over our house on many
occasions along with her little sister.
We have also taken them both
to chucky cheese, the circus, had all
of their friends over for bbq’s, helped
them with homework, gone to see
softball, volleyball, and badminton
games, and watched them sing in
chorus concerts.
She is a continual blessing in our
life; and she is very excited to have
another little cousin to run around
and play with hopefully very soon,
especially one that will live right next
door.
Outlook:
I plan to be a stay-at-home mom.
Andrew and I both feel that if at all possible a child should have at least one parent at home caring for them, instead of putting them into day-care or leaving them with a nanny to raise
them.
More than anything else, no
matter what we are doing, Andrew
and I enjoy spending our time together and can't wait to share this with a baby.
We like to travel. We love to take walks together, and go to the
movies, the park, and visit with friends and family.
Hobbies:
Andrew loves to play golf. He and
his friends go at least once a week.
He also loves watching sports, and
working outdoors in our garden.
I love to draw, mostly portraits,
flowers and animals. I also havea
passion for photography, and enjoy
reading, sewing, and listening to
music on my iPod. Andrew and I
love all different types of music.
Our Pets:
We have two little cocker-spaniel puppies: Cinni & Bella. They are so adorable; both and are extremely affectionate and especially loving towards children. They have proven this to us on numerous occasions, while playing with our cousins, god-children ,nephews and niece. They both love to give kisses and play ball, tug, and fetch.
They are very well behaved and would love to have a playmate who will endlessly chase them around
the house. They are also lap dogs that love to cuddle, snuggle and sleep.
